IMPORTANT FESTIVAL UPDATES 29 JUNE 2023

Only 5 days left! We can’t wait to welcome you all 🙌 Our dedicated crew members and vollies are still working very hard to ensure that Bashville comes together…and looks better than ever!

We have some important updates about Roll In, road conditions and weather forecasts. Please take a moment and read the entire email carefully.

WEATHER FORECASTS

Birdsville and Big Red Bash received around 4.5mm of rain on Wednesday. The site has held up well, and is rapidly drying out. Site preparation has resumed and is shaping up well ahead of your arrival.

According to the BOM forecasts, the next rain expected is a shower or two on Sunday afternoon and evening, continuing into early Monday morning with rainfall totals looking modest. This forecast has changed slightly since our last communication regarding Festival Updates, so please take this opportunity to find out what this means for you and your roll in plans.

There is no further rain forecast for the rest of the week or roll out period 😃

ROLL IN

Updated weather forecasts are looking like our roll in schedule is likely to be interrupted on Sunday and Monday. We know you’re keen to get out to the Bash site, and we’re working hard to make this happen, even if it means there may be a few changes.

2 DAY EARLY ENTRY TICKET HOLDERS

  • 2 Day Early Entry ticket holders can roll in 8am-6pm Friday 30th and Saturday 1st.
  • Sunday 2nd July roll in will go ahead if conditions are suitable. Forecasts are now indicating there could be rain from Sunday afternoon through to Monday morning. Roll in will likely be suspended during periods of rain.
  • Due to the pressure on the schedule caused by the weather we will need to admit some of the 1-Day Early Roll In campers on Saturday. 2 Day Early campers will be given preference for the sites closer to the stage but this will not be a perfect science so we ask for your understanding as we work hard to get you into site before the Sunday/Monday rains arrive.
  • If you are unable to arrive during the earlier roll in times, you are of course able to roll in at a later time (other than times where roll in is suspended due to weather).

1 DAY EARLY ENTRY TICKET HOLDERS

  • Forecasts are now indicating there could be rain from Sunday afternoon through to Monday morning. Roll in will likely be suspended if this happens. We will continue to roll in until such time as the weather prevents us from doing so.

  • Given the possible delay on Monday, we welcome 1 Day Early Entry ticket holders to roll in from 8am-5pm Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July.

  • Campsite preference will be given to 2 Day Early Entry ticket holders until Monday, so you can expect our campsite marshals to allocate you into a site behind the 2 Day Early Entry campers. We acknowledge that this won’t be a perfect science, and your understanding would be appreciated as we do our very best to get you into site as quickly as possible to roll in as many vehicles as we can.
  • If you are unable to arrive during the earlier roll in times, you are of course able to roll in at a later time (other than times where roll in is suspended due to weather).

GENERAL ENTRY TICKET HOLDERS

– At this stage, Tuesday weather is looking fine and we don’t anticipate any changes to roll in for our General Entry Ticket holders.

We anticipate Sunday roll in may be interrupted as rain is forecast from mid-morning. We’ll let you know more as the forecast firms up.

A quick reminder that there is no roadside camping around town or on the road to Bashville – it’s all private property. Don’t set up here – you’ll be moved on.

THANK YOU 🙏

We’ve been inundated with your positive vibes and understanding! We know that outback travel can be challenging at the best of times, and with unseasonal weather thrown into the mix this can create uncertainty and anxious travelers. You’re willingness to roll with the punches, and take this experience as it comes is truly inspiring and keeps our team motivated to provide you all with the very best experience (weather included!) 🥰
