Introducing the “Youth Drama Showcase”, a drama workshop hosted by The Storey Players. It’s an awesome opportunity for children aged 5-16 to showcase their talents on the big stage and be a part of something truly special.
We are looking for 60 kids (aged between 5 and 16) from all corners of Australia to join us for this activity, which consists of two parts. To participate in this activity, you’ll need to hold a 1, 2, or 3 Day Early Entry Vehicle Pass.
PART 1: Wityikura (whirlwind) presentation – Monday 1st July
Join us in bringing to life the captivating tale of Wityikura (Whirlwind), as told by Uncle Don Rowlands, an esteemed Elder of the Wangkangurru traditional custodians of Munga Thirri (Simpson Desert). This amazing story will be filmed from the top of Big Red and shown on the big screen during Concert Day 1. All kids involved will gather at the back of the audience seating area, and as the video plays, they’ll rush up to the stage, swirling around the dance area, conjuring up a tempest of excitement!
PART 2: I’ve Been Everywhere / Flag Ceremony
On the final day of the Bash – Thursday 4th July – all kids will lead a magnificent parade, proudly carrying the State flags into the concert area while the audience sings along to the timeless anthem, “I’ve Been Everywhere, Man!”.
This will be an awe-inspiring experience. If your child is ready to make great memories and showcase their talents on the big stage, follow the link below to secure their place NOW!
