Facilities at Bashville
Camping at the Big Red Bash is a true outback experience. With Birdsville over 35km away and the nearest capital city more than 1,000km away, we’re limited in the facilities we can provide. You need to bring everything you’ll need for your stay.
It’s all part of the adventure at the world’s most remote music festival.
What We DO Provide
We set up a temporary desert town for a few unforgettable days — here’s what’s available on site:

Composting toilets in the campground, Plaza and Concert Area
Serviced regularly
Hand sanitiser at all toilet blocks and additional stations in the Plaza & Concert Area

Bins in the Plaza and Concert Area (for pedestrian use only)
Recycling bins for aluminium cans and PET plastic bottles
Food waste composting stations
Limited greywater disposal (for those unable to store their own)

Camping on Friday 10th July?
If you’re camping an extra night on Friday 10th July, please note:

Toilets and greywater disposal will operate until midday Saturday

Please plan accordingly.
What We DON’T Provide
This is remote outback camping, please come prepared.
No Blackwater Disposal
There is no blackwater disposal on site.
The nearest dump point is in Birdsville.
No Campsite Rubbish Disposal
You must keep all campsite rubbish with you and dispose of it at the Birdsville tip on departure.
No Water Supply
Bring all drinking and washing water you will need.
No Showers
Nearest public showers are in Birdsville.
No Electricity
There is no powered camping.
No Fuel
Nearest fuel is in Birdsville.
No ATMs
Bring cash. Limited credit card facilities operate on site.
No Alcohol Sales
BYO alcohol is permitted (no glass).
No Phone Reception
Do not rely on mobile service.
No Campground Lighting
The general campground and Day Parking areas are not lit. Bring a torch or headlamp.
